Keith Akre Promoted To Stillman Bank Vice President & Trust Officer 

Stillman Bank has recently promoted a key member of its successful team in northern Illinois.  Keith J. Akre, CFA, CFP^® has been promoted to the position of Vice President and Trust Officer, according to Martin C. Larson, Chairman and CEO.

In his new position, Akre will be responsible for the overall administration and direction of the Trust and Wealth Management Department. He will be located primarily in the bank’s Rockford office, 8492 East State Street, but will assist customers at all six Stillman Bank locations.

Akre has more than 12 years of experience in financial services and wealth investment management and has been with Stillman Bank since 2017.  He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance, and his Masters of Business Administration from Western Illinois University. He holds several professional certifications including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP^®).

Akre is also very active in the community serving on several boards of non-profit, mission-driven organizations. Currently, he serves as the Treasurer of the Rockford Lutheran School Board and sits as Chair on the school’s Finance Committee. He also serves as a Board of Trustee member for Rockford University, having just recently served as an advisory member to the University’s Investment Committee. Akre is also a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Rock River Valley and a part of the organization’s Fund Development Committee.

Akre lives in Rockford with his wife Heather and their three children.
