Therese Matzelle Joins Stillman Bank as Controller

Stillman Bank is pleased to welcome Therese Matzelle as Controller, according to Thomas R. Hughes, President & CEO. In her position, Matzelle will direct and control the financial and administrative accounting functions in support of the overall financial soundness of the bank. She will be located at the bank’s Rockford office at 8492 East State Street.

With 32 years of banking experience, Matzelle has held positions in a variety of departments, including bookkeeping, finance, accounting, treasury, operations, and compliance. She also has experience auditing financial institutions. Matzelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.

Matzelle grew up in the suburbs of Chicago but has lived in Caledonia for the past 12 years. Outside of the workplace, she has spent time volunteering at various women’s & children’s charity events, participated in Habitat for Humanity home builds, and fostered rescue animals. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, crafting, and working on home improvement projects.
