We recently ended our “Purchase with a Purpose” Debit Card campaign in which a $1.00 donation was made to local charities with every Stillman Bank Debit Card transaction up to $20,000!
We are excited to be able to present checks for $2,000 to 10 non-profit organizations throughout the Rock River Valley!
Byron Foundation
A not-for-profit corporation, The Byron Foundation was established in the early 1990s to enrich and supplement the educational opportunities offered to students in the Byron School District. The foundation is made up of a group of volunteer parents, volunteer, professional educators, and community members who care about current and future educational opportunities for the students of Byron.
Children Home & Aid
Headquartered in Rockford, the Northern Region of Children’s Home & Aid is devoted to serving the area’s most challenged communities. The Northern Region provides services and programs in many of the counties in Northern Illinois. Children’s Home & Aid is recognized for achieving outstanding results through its programs and services that focus on child abuse prevention, healthy child development and strengthening families.
PAWS Humane Society Rockford
Founded in 1988, PAWS Humane Society is a local, non-profit charitable animal welfare organization. Their mission is to promote, support and provide for the humane treatment and welfare of animals in Winnebago County and the surrounding areas. They work towards a day when there is a home for every pet and domestic animals are no longer euthanized simply because they have no home.
Rochelle Child Care Center
Rochelle Child Care Center has been dedicated to the enrichment of children since 1965. They are a not-for-profit organization that offers accredited daycare, pre-school, and school-age programs in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment staffed with loving, caring, and qualified professionals.
Rock River Center
Initially called the Yellow Bird Senior Citizens Drop-in Center in 1975, then later Ogle County Senior Services, the Rock River Center has remained focused on older adults and the services they need to remain healthy in mind, body, and spirit while providing a solution to the social isolation of a growing population of older adults.
Serenity Hospice & Home
Founded in 1984 as Ogle County Hospice, Serenity Hospice and Home provides an interdisciplinary team of trained hospice personnel to create and maintain a plan of care. Serenity offers the patient and family a home-like environment, while providing the full complement of Hospice’s comfort-oriented care and services, including: expert pain and symptom management, 24 hour nursing care, assistance with tasks of daily living, friendly visits from volunteers, spiritual, and psychosocial counseling for patients and their loved ones, and bereavement care and support for surviving family members.
The Arc of Winnebago, Boone and Ogle Counties
The Arc of Winnebago, Boone and Ogle Counties has been serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1966. The organization serves approximately 200 families annually through Home-Based Support Services and other programs designed to assist individuals with these types of disabilities to live as independently as possible and be integrated into the community.
Veteran’s Drop-In Center
The Veterans’ Drop-In Center was founded in 2009 when a group of people decided that Rockford area veterans and their families needed a place to gather and meet with their peers – without some of the formalities that come with other veterans’’ organizations. With the drop-in center, local veterans are able to take advantage of a positive social environment – TV, games and computer usage – as well as lunch and dinner served each night.
Village of Progress
Since 1969, the Village of Progress has been serving adults with developmental disabilities in Ogle County. They strive to offer innovative vocational skills, exceptional recreational programs, and engaging social activities, to each of the men and women who attend here. The people the Village serves are given a place of mutual respect, a place where they have a voice, and an opportunity to create purpose in their lives.
YMCA of the Rock River Valley
The YMCA of Rock River Valley has been committed to enhancing lives and building community collaboration since their founding in 1876. With 7 branches spanning throughout Winnebago County, the YMCA continues to grow and expand to better serve its members and participants by providing programs or services in areas of Youth, Health and Social Responsibilities.
