We recently ended our “Purchase with a Purpose” Debit Card Campaign in which a $1.00 donation was made to local charities with every Stillman Bank Debit Card transaction up to $15,000! We were excited to be able to present checks for $2,500 to 6 non-profit organizations throughout the Rock River Valley!
Focus House is a youth residential facility operated by the Ogle County Probation Department. They provide 24-hour care services for troubled youth residing throughout Northern Illinois, including residential care, on-site schooling and education, counseling, health care, leisure/recreation activities, and post-discharge (aftercare) services. Through their commitment to children, their residents are given the opportunity to develop self-worth, responsibility, and respect — enabling them to successfully return to their families and communities.

Helping Hands Pantry is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 2003. They feed approximately 350-400 families from the Loves Park/Machesney Park area each month, relying solely on volunteers.100% of the donations they receive go to the purchase of groceries to feed hungry families. Helping Hands follows a “client choice” method for their patrons, which means clients go through their pantry with a shopping cart choosing only items that can be used by their family. This prevents waste and puts more items in the hands of those who can use them.

Founded in 1930, the Junior League of Rockford is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

KFACT Inc. (Keeping Families and Communities Together) is a grassroots nonprofit youth development and holistic mentoring organization established to alleviate opportunity gaps among girls living in the Rockford community. They specialize in providing an array of comprehensive services such as “holistic mentorship.” KFACT is the only girls holistic mentoring organization in our community and strives to ensure that girls are not continuing the cycle of poverty. Holistic mentoring is the only way to truly alleviate generational poverty and consequently trauma because it requires the entire life of the girl to be part of the plan for her success. KFACT’s unique approach has supported the program’s outcomes – 100% high school graduation rate, 98% of girls attend post-secondary education, and less than 2% of their girls become teen parents.

Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center
Since 2002, Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center has been providing services for child abuse victims and their families whose mission is to transform victims of child abuse into survivors. Their vision is to reduce the trauma of child abuse through identification, offender accountability, advocacy, counseling, and education on the path to eliminating child abuse. They provide forensic interviewing, case management and follow-through, as well as coordinated services to child victims of sexual and physical abuse and their non-offending family members in Lee and Ogle Counties. Additionally, they seek to minimize the trauma experienced by child victims by providing a comfortable and child-friendly environment for the interview and investigations of child abuse crimes.

Tommy Corral Memorial Foundation
The Tommy Corral Memorial Foundation (TCMF), a non-profit organization was established by the family of Tomas (Tommy) Corral III, a 19-year-old who lost his battle with depression to suicide. Since the Foundation was established, TCMF has been working in the community to increase education on the factors that lead to suicide, actively developing resources, and providing financial support to help those struggling with mental illness and suicidal thoughts. Their mission is to enhance the mental health of individuals, their families, and their community through awareness, prevention, support, and education.
